ELLERBE — Hundreds of riders kicked up dirt at Windy Hill this past weekend for the N.C. Motocross Association’s 2025 season opener.
According to NCMX, more than 400 participants were signed up for the two-day competitive event.
Riders compete in multiple classes distinguished by age, speed, skill level and bike size. Those on smaller bikes competed on Saturday, with the large bike comp on Sunday.
NCMX returns to Windy Hill Aug. 16-17 for the state championship.
