ROCKINGHAM — Daniel Franklin Gerald Jr. “Junior”, 61, of Rockingham, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at his residence.
He was born June 18, 1960 in Richmond County, son of Linda Ford Gerald Dyke and late Daniel F. Gerald Sr.
Danny graduated from Richmond Senior High in 1979 and was a truck driver for Pepsi, JT Davenport & Sons and retired from Perdue.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Frank and Cleo Gerald and Clyde and Viola Ford.
The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 at 5 p.m. with a visitation from 4-5 p.m. All will be held at Mount Carmel Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Hildreth officiating. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Lisa Loftus, 286 Scott McDonald Road, Rockingham.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Farmer Gerald; daughter, Maranda Kay Currie; mother, Linda Ford Gerald Dykes; granddaughter, Summer Lynn Currie; sisters, Lisa Loftus (Kevin) and Christy McRae (Danny); brother, Brian Gerald; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
