DAR welcomes retired judge Tanya Wallace as newest member

ROCKINGHAM — At its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, the General Henry William Harrington Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution proudly inducted Tanya Wallace as its newest member.

Wallace is a retired senior resident superior court judge for District 16A, serving Richmond County and surrounding areas with distinction. Over the course of her 32-and-a-half-year judicial career, she earned widespread respect for her unwavering fairness, deep dedication to the law, and steadfast commitment to justice. Her legacy reflects a lifetime of principled service and civic leadership, making her a natural fit for the mission and values of the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Tanya Wallace into our chapter,” said Melissa Wall, regent of the General Henry William Harrington Chapter. “Tanya is civically minded with a servant’s heart. Her lifelong dedication to public service beautifully reflects the DAR mission of promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. She is a true inspiration, and we are honored to have her among us.”

Founded in 1890, the NSDAR promotes historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Membership is open to women 18 years or older who can prove direct lineage to a patriot of the American Revolution.
