ROCKINGHAM — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing a car from a couple at the end of the year.
According to an arrest warrant, 23-year-old Daniel Issac McCurdy stole a 2022 Dodge Challenger at gunpoint from a man and woman on Dec. 30.
McCurdy was arrested the following day and charged with one misdemeanor count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of a motor vehicle, as well as two misdemeanor counts of assault by pointing a gun.
He is being held in the Richmond County Jail on a $500,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 9.
It appears McCurdy has no other pending charges or prior convictions.
