ROCKINGHAM — Doris Denney, of Rockingham, North Carolina, passed away in her home with her three daughters by her side on Nov. 23, 2021 at the age of 92.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Deborah Rogers Taylor (Michael) of Columbia, South Carolina, Gwen Carpunky Webb of Rockingham, and Terri Denney LaRue (Michael) of Kernersville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Austin Rogers (Kim) of Goose Creek South Carolina, Lauren R. McCabe (Shawn) of Charlotte North Carolina, Carie Carpunky of Rockingham and Taylor W. Cox (Allen) of Hamlet, North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Trenton Carpunky of Rockingham, Owen and Caroline Rogers of Goose Creek South Carolina, Juliana, Darcy and Nora McCabe of Charlotte, North Carolina.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Don, of 63 years; and her parents, Eva Carl and Roxie Hart, along with her six siblings.
She was born in Chatham County North Carolina, married and moved to Rockingham in 1959. She was employed by Hanes Hosiery Inc. Sandhurst plant where she retired.
Friends may visit Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham from 9 a.m. till no0on on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021.The family will have a graveside service to honor Doris at 2 p.m. at Richmond Memorial Park with Dr. Allison Farrah officiating.
