ROCKINGHAM — A man wanted for failure to appear in court on a trespassing charge is accused of selling meth.
According to warrants, 47-year-old Leon Jefferson Graham, of East Rockingham, sold unspecified quantities of methamphetamine to a confidential informant handled by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on May 3 and 4.
Warrants were issued May 6 charging Graham with two felony counts each of selling methamphetamine, delivering methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
He was arrested May 16 and booked into the Richmond County Jail on a $25,000 secured bond.
Online court records show Graham was issued citations for second-degree trespassing on April 2 and 24 and it appears he failed to appear in court on both counts. However, an order for arrest was only issued on one count.
He is being held on a $500 secured bond for one of the trespassing charges.
Graham is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 2.
Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Graham was convicted on two counts of misdemeanor larceny in 2022.
Graham also has been convicted previously in Moore County:
2006 - possession of drug paraphernalia
2007 - possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; assault on a female
2013 - selling a Schedule III controlled substance
2014 - three-month reimprison violation, post-release revocation
2017 - possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, post-release revocation
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
