ROCKINGHAM — A Robeson County man is facing multiple charges associated with a child sex abuse case from 2022.

Ramon Diaz Segure, 54, of Lumberton is charged with four counts each of incest and taking indecent liberties with a child, and two counts each of statutory rape of a child 15 years old or younger and statutory rape of a child by an adult.

According to court records, the alleged abuse took place between January 2018 and January 2021. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office obtained warrants for Segure’s arrest on Sept. 19, 2022.

Segure was arrested March 18 and booked into the Richmond County Jail where he is being held on a $750,000 secured bond. It appears Segure has court appearances scheduled for April 3 and 10.

It appears Segure has no other pending charges or previous criminal convictions in North Carolina.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
