“CLASSROOM CREDITS” WITH MAKAYLA BROWN

Involved in a lot of the goings-ons at Richmond, Brown has shown her ability to maintain a dual enrollment course load and high grades, while also cheering for two-thirds of the school year.

With just over a month remaining before the end of the first semester, Brown is excelling in her college courses at Richmond Community College, as well as in her honors courses at Richmond.

At RichmondCC, Brown is taking three classes this fall — Biology 111, Mathematics 143 and Psychology 150. At this point in the term, she has high grades in all three classes.

During her two blocks at Richmond, Brown is enrolled in Senior Senate Honors and English IV Honors. During the first nine-week period, she made the A honor roll and is currently on pace to make it again during the latter half of the semester.

Brown is ranked in the top 21% of her graduating class and has a 3.78 weighted grade point average.

Playing a leading role with the Senior Senate, Brown serves as the Class of 2026’s president. She’s responsible for planning and coordinating many events on campus, including Spirit Week and the current holiday food drive.

Brown is also an active member of Health Occupations Students of America and the National Beta Club, and was voted by her peers as the homecoming queen this year.

Following graduation, Brown hopes to pursue a career as a certified registered nurse anesthetist, a pathway she’s already started during her time in high school.
