ROCKINGHAM — A man with pending charges in Moore County is being held without bond after allegedly being caught with cannabis in Richmond County.
Court documents show that 21-year-old Thomas Allen Lampley, of Rockingham, was arrested without a warrant on June 18 by a deputy with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
A magistrate’s order alleges that Lampley was found in possession of 50.5 grams (1.78 ounces) of marijuana and a set of scales in a 2009 Acura TL.
Lampley was arrested and charged with one felony count each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, as well as a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
The release order states that Lampley was denied bond since he is out on pre-trial release.
Online court records show Lampley was charged in 2024 by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office with: felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance; possession of marijuana paraphernalia; carrying a concealed weapon; and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Lampley is scheduled to appear in court July 7 on the Richmond County charges. His next court date for the Moore County charges is Aug. 24.
Online court records show Lampley also has several pending traffic citations in Richmond County. Lampley was also cited for traffic violations in Guilford County in 2023, but that case was dismissed with leave in January 2025 after records show he failed to appear in court multiple times.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
