ROCKINGHAM — Motorsports action returns to both tracks this weekend with drift cars on one side of the highway and Harleys on the other.
MB Drift is hosting its annual Halloween Havoc — the final event of the 2025 season — at Rockingham Speedway.
With the competition over, this weekend will allow drivers to gain seat time, hone their skills, compete in drift games, and just have fun on the infield road course of the main track, as well as the Little Rock.
The tracks will be hot with tire-smoking action from noon until 5 p.m., with a trunk-or-treat and costume contest for drivers and spectators from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Papa Joe Hendrick Garage — followed by night drifting under the lights from 7-10 p.m.
Drifting will continue on Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on the road course and noon-4 p.m. at the Little Rock.
Meanwhile, the American Motorcycle Racing Association returns to Rockingham Dragway for the 34th Annual Jim McClure Top Fuel World Finals.
Riders will be competing in multiple classes, including Top Fuel, Pro Fuel, Nitro Funny Bike, Outlaw Street and Pro Bagger.
Ryan Peery of Ohio currently sits at second place in the AMRA Top Fuel standings, less than 200 points behind Finnish competitor Samu Kemppainen.
Several new records were set at last year’s finals.
Riders will be testing on Friday, with qualifying on Saturday and eliminations Sunday.
Two local bands will also be performing this weekend after the racing: Whiskey River on Friday and Good Company on Saturday.
