Anna Parsons Hodges, 69, of Rockingham, North Carolina, passed away on May 23, 2026, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, leaving behind a life marked by faith, kindness, and devotion to her family.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1957 in Richmond County, North Carolina,  a daughter of the late William Pickett and Mary Louise Harrington Parsons. She carried with her the values of hard work, compassion, and steady faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tommy Parsons.

Anna was steadfast in her faith. She found strength in her beliefs and lived them out through her actions, her words, and the way she cared for others.

Anna’s greatest joy was her family. She shared 35 years of marriage with her husband, Robbie Hodges. Together they built a life centered on love, support, and enduring commitment. She was a loving mother to Ian Withers, Adam Hodges and wife Caitlin, Katie Hodges, and Chad Hodges and wife Sharon. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Gabriel Kane Withers, Maecie Grayce Withers, Charlie Hodges, Piper Hodges, Whitley Hodges, Waylon Aaron, Regan Aaron and Cameron Hodges. Her grandchildren brought her great happiness, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou Parsons, and brothers, Bill Parsons and Hill Parsons, all of whom shared in the love and memories that shaped her life.

Anna enjoyed many simple and meaningful pleasures in life. She loved bird watching and found peace in observing the beauty of the world around her. She enjoyed flower gardening, painting, and expressing her artistic side. She also enjoyed watching baseball, spending time with her family, and taking trips to the beach, where she could relax and make cherished memories with those she loved.

Anna will be remembered with deep affection and gratitude for the life she lived and the love she gave. Though her earthly journey has ended, the example she set and the memories she created will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and all who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Rockingham Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Curtis Williams and the Rev. Stanley Stogner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
