Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to Anthony Lantz, 67, a kind, gentle, caring and brilliant soul who made the world brighter in every way.
Anthony was so many things: a lover of musical theater, a concertgoer, a piano player, a talented chef, a devoted son, brother, and the best uncle any of us — me, my sisters, and cousins — could ever ask for.
He was the one who introduced us to the magic of musical theater, and we were instantly hooked. His joy, laughter, and passion for the arts shaped who we are today.
Anthony cared deeply for all people. Compassion and empathy guided everything he did and believed in. His love for humanity was as big as his heart — and that’s saying a lot.
He will be missed beyond words, but his spirit, his music, and his kindness will stay with us always. He worked many years at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in the lab.
Preceding him in death: his parents, Norman and Agatha Lantz; and his sister, Shirla Kay Lantz.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Surviving, brothers, Aaron Lantz (Cathy) and Craig Lantz (Brenda); nieces, Ashley Lantz (Angel), Brandi Phillips (Todd), Heather Lantz, Brooke Pettitt (Dusty) and Amber Lantz; and a nephew, Brian Lantz (Dawn).
