Bobbie Griggs Huff, 70, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.
She was born Oct. 23, 1954, in Hamlet, daughter of the late Robert Lee Griggs and Esther Freeman Griggs.
Bobbie was a woman of quiet, unwavering love — expressed not in grand gestures but in everyday sacrifices, thoughtful surprises, and steadfast devotion to her family and faith. She spent countless hours teaching and serving at church and loved helping others. She could be counted on to make you laugh or offer a shoulder to cry on.
She was married to her high school sweetheart for 53 years, building a life together filled with love, faith and dedication. A hardworking and driven woman, Bobbie was a business owner, church secretary, coach, and Sunday school teacher. But above all, she was a wonderful mother whose love and guidance shaped the lives of those she cherished most.
Her kindness and strength will remain in the hearts of those who loved her. She was a mother, grandmother, a caregiver, a servant, and above all, a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Griggs; and sister, Lynn Griggs.
Left to cherish Bobbie’s memories are her husband, George Leon Huff of the home; children, Hollie Huff Baldwin (Mitchell) of Charlotte, Robert Huff (April) of Hamlet, Jeffrey Huff (Amber) of Rockingham, and Brian Huff (Shannon) of Hamlet; five grandchildren; and her beloved cats, Skeeter and Scooter.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Hamlet, with the the Rev. Dr. Allison Farrah and the Rev. Randy Bishop officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Clara McLean House at FirstHealth, 20 First Village Drive, Pinehurst, N.C. 28374.
