Brenda Gail Lambert, 79, of Florence, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026 at her home.
She was born March 5, 1947, in Marlboro County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Zeak Lambert and Marie Cox Lambert.
Brenda was a kind-hearted lady, and always considerate, putting others before herself. She was a caregiver at heart and enjoyed her job taking care of the elderly at Somersett Court, now Hamlet House. She was a lover of all animals. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert R. Lampley Sr.; and brother, Robert Lambert.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Sylvia Chavis of Aberdeen, W. Richard Lampley Jr. (Shelley) of Hamlet, Betty Lampley of Ridgeland, South Carolina, and Audrey Jacobs of Florence, South Carolina; grandchildren, Misty, Brandon, Jessica (Ty), Chris, Heather and Karlee; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Louise Sweatt of Hamlet, Barbara Chavis (William) of Gibson, and Ruth Lambert of Hamlet.
The family wishes to thank Agape Hospice of Florence and Brenda’s caregivers for the excellent care given to their mother.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.
