Brenda “Luann” Gathings, 69, of Rockingham, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024.
Luann was born Sept. 8, 1955, and was a daughter of the late Rhumill Davis and Brenda Stubbs Grant.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Sam, to whom she was married to for 30 years before his passing.
Luann is survived by her son, Jason Jacobs; grandson, Jordan Jacobs; great-granddaughter, Rilee Jacobs; stepfather, Charles Grant; siblings, Cindy Nichols (Eddie), Karen McQueen and David Grant, Ken Grant, Randy Grant, Robbie Grant, Karen Grant and June Hawks; several nieces and nephews; and special and close nephew, Aydden.
The family will receive friends for visitation at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Goins officiating.
