Carolyn Poston Davis, 83, of Wadesboro, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at Atrium Health Anson Hospital.
She was born Jan. 26, 1942, in Greensboro, daughter of the late Pulion Sulion Poston and Rosa Mae Floyd Sanders.
Carolyn was the most beautiful soul. She was the sweetest, kindest person, always smiling, and took life in stride. She never got upset and always looked forward, never back. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her family. Family is where she found her strength.
Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole Leigh Ryder; and sister, Brenda Beach.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Dale Ryder (Elena) and David Ryder, and daughter, Theresa Ryder (Jack Crone), all of Manassas, Virginia; brothers, Glenn Poston (Pam) of Rockingham, Carl Poston (Paula Allred) of Rockingham, and Lonnie Poston (Darlene Sweeney) of Ohio; sisters, Shirley Mills (Larry McLester) of Rockingham, Juanita Diggs (Luke) of Rockingham; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and special friend, Rebecca Robertson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Northam Cemetery in Rockingham, with the Rev. Dean Dixon officiating.
