Charles Edward Leviner Sr., 71, of Hamlet, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1954, in Scotland County, son of the late William Frank “Duck” Leviner Sr. and Juanita Pettit Leviner.
Charles worked in previous years as a welder with Superior Cranes. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball, horse riding, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed time with his two grandsons and great-granddaughter. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Leviner Jr., Johnny Leviner, Bobby Leviner, Lee Leviner, Dennis Leviner, Robbie Leviner and Tim Leviner; and his sister, Inez Smyers.
Left to cherish Charles’ memory is his loving wife of 51 years, Candise Jacobs Leviner of the home; son, Eddie Leviner (Christy) of Rockingham; grandsons, Hunter Leviner (Mayden Moss) of Hamlet and Nathan Leviner (Haileigh Herndon) of Hamlet; great-granddaughter, Remmie Leviner; brothers, Kenny Leviner (Debbie) of Hamlet and Roger Leviner of Rockingham; sisters-in-law, Diane Leviner and Margaret Leviner, both of Hamlet; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from noon-1 p.m. at Outreach for Jesus.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 1 p.m., with Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
