Cindy Davis Nichols, 66, of Rockingham, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025.
Cindy was born on April 4, 1959, and was the daughter of the late Rhumill Davis Jr. and Brenda Stubbs Grant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Luann Gathings.
Cindy was a loving and devoted mother, Nana, sister, and friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with the family she loved so deeply.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Eddie Nichols Jr.; her son, Eric Nichols (Christy); granddaughters Erica Nichols (George) and Madison Hancock; great-grandsons Aydden Covington and Brayden Nichols; her stepfather, Charles Grant; siblings Karen McQueen, David Grant, Ken Grant, Randy Grant, Robbie Grant, Karen Grant and June Hawks; along with several nieces and nephews and many family and friends who will greatly miss her.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026 at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet. The family will be receiving friends starting at 1:30 p.m. with services following directly after at 2:30 p.m..
