Clara Goodwin Floyd, 84, of Cordova, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025.
Clara was born Jan. 8, 1941, to the late Leroy and Veda Keziah Goodwin.
She loved to cook, and she was a wonderful cook. She loved her family and cared for everyone before she cared for herself. She enjoyed get-togethers with the family and loved for them to come visit her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Floyd; and brothers, Frank Goodwin, Jack Goodwin, Richard Goodwin and Butch Goodwin.
She is survived by her daughters, Clara Kerns of Wilmington, Debora Bond (James) of Rockingham, and Julia Greene of Cordova; sons, James Greene of Cordova and William Greene (Bridget) of Ellerbe; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Pete Goodwin (Bonnie) of Maine; and sister, Nora Knox (Jackie) of Cordova.
Visitation will be held at Harrington Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, from noon-1 p.m. with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. The Rev. Roger Webster will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park in Rockingham.
