Mr. David Perkins of Clio, South Carolina, 75, died on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025.
Born Nov. 15, 1949 in Bennettsville, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Henry and Kathleen Pate Perkins.
David served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a mechanic at Sopakco for many years. David loved spending time with his family and was a proud grandpa.
Along with his parents listed above, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald "Ronnie" Perkins and James Fine Perkins; and a sister, Donna Marie Perkins.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Bruce and wife (Jennifer) Perkins of Rockingham and Chris Perkins of Clio, South Carolina; brother Sherwood Perkins of Bennettsville, South Carolina; sisters, Susie Patterson and husband Mikey of Bennettsville, Faye Nolan of Bennettsville and Joyce Brown of Cheraw, South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Seth Perkins, Riley Perkins, Carly Perkins, Gracie Perkins and Madison Perkins.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Jan. 27 from 2-4 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral home in Rockingham.
An internment will be held at a later date at Mount Elem Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Clio, South Carolina.
