Donald Gary Jenks, 68, of Rockingham, passed away on April 19, 2025.
Born on Nov. 12, 1956, Donald dedicated over two decades of his life to his passion as a cake decorator and bakery/deli manager before retiring from CSX. Known for his creativity and family oriented nature, Donald spent much of his time nurturing his relationships with his loved ones and caring for animals.
He is survived by his daughter, Chandra Millikan (Chris); sons, Chad Jenks (Shena) and Brent Jenks (Talitha); grandchildren, Zandy Chappell, Megan Furr, Lexie Lovelace, Kiara, Isaiah, Trent, Jadden and Noah Jenks; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenny Jenks (Crystal), Vernon Jenks (Jean), Rodney Jenks (Shelia), Dean Jenks and Sandra Clark (Jerry); and many nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Musslewhite; stepfather, Paul Musslewhite; father, Vernon Jenks; and stepmother, Alice Jenks.
A service to honor Donald's life will be held at 152 Hinson Lake Road, Rockingham, on Sunday April 27, 2025, at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Richmond County Hospice, in memory of Donald. His legacy of love and creativity will be cherished by all who knew him.
