Donald Glenn Dawkins, 75, of Rockingham passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at The Greens in Pinehurst.
He was born Aug. 31, 1950 in Richmond County, a son of the late George R. and Grace Brock Dawkins.
Mr. Dawkins was handyman and loved fishing at the river. He enjoyed a cold Mountain Dew and Hershey candy bar while watching "The Andy Griffith Show" or some country and western shows.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30 at Caledonia Methodist Church Cemetery in Laurinburg. The family will receive friends from 12:30–1:30 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
Surviving, a daughter, Daisy Dawkins (Chris Cook) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren, Anthony and Brantley Cook; sisters, Linda Ewell of Southport and Bettyjean Dawkins of Asheboro; and a brother, Doug Dawkins of Rockingham.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
