Donald Ray McFayden, 76, of Ellerbe passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026 at his home.
Don was born Oct. 15, 1949 in Richmond County, a son of the late Colon Edward and Gladys Ballard McFayden.
He was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army. He was also a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ellerbe and former deacon.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann McIntyre McFayden; and brothers Lynn McFayden and Darrell McFayden.
Surviving are his children, Kenny McFayden (Misty) and Amy Goins (Doug); grandchildren, Noah McFayden, Dillon Barbour (Ashley), Caylie Barbour, Briar Goins, Skylar Goins, Jessie Goins and Jake Goins; and great-grandchildren, Nora and Krew.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Ellerbe. Interment with military honors will follow at Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
