Donna Todd Halyburton, 73, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 at Richmond Pines, Hamlet.
She was born Jan. 27, 1952 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Donald David Todd Sr. and Beatrice Coward Rouse.
Donna was a 1973 graduate of the Hamlet School of Nursing. She worked more than 38 years as a Registered Nurse, spending close to 20 years with labor and delivery with newborns. She was a dedicated, caring nurse that was well-loved.
Donna had a great sense of humor, with family and friends, as well as her patients. Family was very important to her, and she loved them all dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends that loved her.
Along with her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin “Tommy” Halyburton; and son, Brian Jenkins.
Left to cherish Donna’s memory are her son, Lee Jenkins of Wilmington; grandchildren, Hailey Jenkins and Mason Jenkins; brother, David Todd (Debbie) of Rockingham; and daughter-in-law, Lori Jenkins of Rockingham.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Mary Love Cemetery, Hamlet.
