Doris Jean Gainey King, 65, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.
She was born Dec. 6, 1960 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Cleveland Beauford Gainey Sr. and Bonnie Ruth Wittaker Gainey.
Doris was a kind lady, simple in nature, who enjoyed life and loved her family.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Edward Faulk.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Amy Lynn King of Rockingham; brothers, Cleveland Beauford Gainey Jr. of Rockingham and Otis Cleveland Gainey of Lumberton; grandchildren, Donnie Parker Jr., Christian Parker, Tiffany Parker and Mason Parker; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with Pastor Joe B. Wilkes Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Northam Cemetery, Rockingham.
