Dorothy B. Barrett, 93, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully at Richmond County Hospice Haven, Monday, June 30, 2025.
Dorothy was a daughter of the late Charlie and Stacy Benoist and was born June 13, 1932. She was born and raised in Rockingham.
Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Barrett; daughter Pamela B. Cain; siblings James R. Benoist, Albert R. Benoist, Alton C. Benoist, Don Benoist, Bobby K. Benoist and Barbara B. Jarrell.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Gwyn Barrett and Eric Barrett; grandchildren, Ginger Medford, Craig Cain and Ronnie Maynard; siblings, John D. Benoist, Wilma B. Gibson and Mary B. McDougall.
Dorothy was a sweet and giving Christian woman that will be missed dearly by her family.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday July 3, 2025 at Richmond County Memorial Park with the Rev. Carl Moree officiating.
