Edna Joyce Todd Parker, 91, of Rockingham passed away peacefully on Thursday April 9, 2026 at Richmond County Hospice Haven, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1935 in Richmond County to the late Olen Quincy and Frances Purvis Todd.
Following high school, she worked with Abbott Laboratories in Laurinburg until her retirement. Edna loved church and Jesus. Throughout the years, she was a choir member and Sunday school teacher. Above all, she strived to bring people to know the Lord. She was a true soul winner.
Surviving are her two daughters, Sherry Caudle and husband Robby Caudle Jr. of Hamlet, and Donna Simmons and husband Taft Simmons of Johnson City, Tennessee; grandchildren Crystal Caudle of Hamlet, Tara Roberson (Brady) of Johnson City, Tennessee, Trey Simmons of Nashville, Tennessee; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Roberson.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Cecil Wallace Parker; and siblings Hubert Todd, L. D. Todd, Ruby McPherson and Faye Floyd.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Pastor Robby Caudle Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
