Ernest Junior Todd, 93, of Rockingham, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Richmond Pines Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hamlet.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1933, to the late Fletcher Todd and Ceda Mae Cannon.
Ernest was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent 20 years working for Pee Dee Electric and also worked for Camco Construction. Throughout his life, he was known for a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to providing for his family.
A faithful member of Roberdel Baptist Church for 70 years, Ernest cherished his church and church family. He will be remembered for his dependability and the love he shared with family and friends.

Along with his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his brothers, John Vernon Todd and Edward Todd.
Left to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Virginia Todd of the home; sons, Ernie Todd (Betty) of Dunn, Eldridge Todd of Rockingham, Jarrell Todd (Kay) also of Rockingham, and Mark Todd (Tonya) of Maryville, Tennessee; along with six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 11:30-1 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following the visitation at 1 p.m. at Roberdel Baptist Church in Rockingham.
