Gertrude Johnson McLean, 93, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully on Monday May 4, 2026 at Richmond County Hospice Haven, surrounded by her loving family.
Gertrude was born on Oct. 4, 1932 in Richmond County to the late Arch and Myrtle Johnson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cordova United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 76 years, Ralph Edward McLean; and siblings Cora Lee, Alice Wallace and Pete Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Tony (Norma) Mclean and Sandra (Ed) Ussery; granddaughter Candi Boney; great-grandchildren Jackson (Colby) Lane, Andrew Boney, Harrison Boney; step-grandchildren Tony, Brian, Neil, Bonnie, Jessica, Tia, Dylan, Erica, Dalton and Brantley; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery.
