Gracie Graham, 91, of Rockingham, passed away in her home Tuesday, May 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Richmond County June 12, 1933, Gracie was the daughter of the late Henry Grant and Hattie Chavis Grant.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Alma Quick, Dewey Grant, Doris Murphy and Lucille Boone; her son, James “Jimmy” Graham Jr.; and her husband of over 60 years, James “Bo” Graham Sr.
In her younger years, Gracie worked in textiles but found her true calling later in life working in childcare. She enjoyed caring for babies for more than 20 years. Gracie was a devoted woman of faith and a member of the Church of God for nearly 80 years. She will be greatly missed.
Gracie is survived by her daughter, Dianne Hinson (Rick); grandchildren, Chad Hinson (Amy), Jill Hinson and Robby Graham (Megan); great-grandchildren, Alex Brown, Matthew Brown, Cameron Hinson, Caroline Hinson, Otis Graham and Clio Graham.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Abundant Life Church from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Wilkes Sr. officiating. Burial will proceed at Richmond County Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at other times for visiting before and after services at the home of Gracie.
