Grady Dwayne Smith, 54, of Hamlet, passed on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026 at his residence.
Grady was born on April 19, 1971, and was preceded in death by his parents, Alec Grady Smith and Patricia Woodard Herndon.
He is survived by his sister, Lisa Herndon of Hamlet; one nephew, Devin Waldon of Albermarle; his children, one son, Blake Smith (Meagan) of Laurinburg, three daughters, Kerstin Bartell of Laurinburg, Hailey Smith of California, and Hannah Farris of Florida; two aunts, Angie Woodard of Hamlet and Teresa Eddins (Jerry) of Laurinburg; three uncles, Ricky Smith (Lisa) of Banner Elk, Terry Woodard of Statesville, and Gary Woodard of Old Hundred; as well as a host of cousins, friends and other relatives.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
