Harold Eugene “Jody” Clary III, 47, of Hamlet passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
He was born June 29, 1977 in Greenville County, South Carolina, a son of the late Harold Eugene Clary Jr. and Linda Davis Forbis.
Jody, a 1995 graduate of RCC, dedicated his career to maintenance and environmental services within healthcare facilities, where his hard work and commitment left a lasting impact. Known for his many talents, Jody excelled in drawing, painting, and carpentry, bringing creativity and craftsmanship to all he pursued. He cherished spending time on the golf course with his close-knit golf group and was a passionate supporter of the University of Clemson football team, attending games and cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm. Jody’s warmth, talents, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by Grandfather Harold E. Clary and Grandmother Lois Clary of Belton, South Carolina.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Donna “Dee-Dee” Franklin Clary of the home; a sister, Brooke Taylor (Josh Williams); niece, Ally Taylor; in-laws, Odell and Donna Franklin; sister-in-law, Shenna Behbehani (Ridha); nephews, Kamal and Adam; aunts, Debbie Hammond and Judy Taylor; stepsister, Dawne Chavis (Ronnie Wayne); stepbrother, Donnie Forbis Jr. (Becky); and sister, Susanne Forbis.
The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet.
