Harold adored his wife, Priscilla. They were married on Dec. 5, 1958; celebrating almost 66 years of marriage. They shared decades of love for and devotion to each other. Harold’s family was his greatest joy! He loved spending time with them around the table with a good meal, at various birthday celebrations, holiday celebrations and just hanging out for a visit. There was no doubt, you felt loved when Harold was around.
In addition to his family, Harold enjoyed taking trips in his RV to the beach and mountains. Also, he and Priscilla traveled to 36 states enjoying the beautiful sites and various experiences they had to offer. Harold also enjoyed many weekends at Lake Tillery where he drove the boat many miles pulling anyone who dared to ski! The “ear” and love for music was one of Harold’s gifts. He was the guitarist for the Dixie Ramblers band for approximately four years.
There will be a service to celebrate Harold’s life on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church in Rockingham with the Rev. Ronnie McLean and Travis Billingsley officiating.
