Henry “Edward” Boyle Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his home.
He was born in Richmond County to the late Henry Edward Boyle Sr. and Bernice Norton Boyle on Aug. 30, 1961.
Edward was a wholesome, good-hearted man who loved his family dearly and never hesitated to care for those he loved most. As a devoted caretaker to his sisters, he spent much of his life putting others before himself. He also loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children.
A lifelong baseball fan, he especially loved cheering on the Atlanta Braves and rarely missed a game. He was a proud member of Marks Creek Presbyterian Church and Woodmen of the World for many years, where he built lasting friendships and faithfully served his community.
He spent most of his life working as a professional welder, a trade he took great pride in and one that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication.
He will be remembered for his loving heart, gentle spirit, and deep devotion to family. His presence brought comfort and strength to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Boyle; and niece, Maggie McNeill.
Left to cherish his memories are his sisters, Frances Boyle Milligan and Lorri Boyle Oxendine, both of Hamlet; nieces, Miranda Morgan Casarrubias (Raul) and Amy Milligan, all of Hamlet; nephew, Reid Milligan also of Hamlet; and great-nephews, Isaiah Morgan and Cain Casarrubias.
Services will be held privately at Marks Creek Presbyterian Church.
