James Keith “Jim” Fetner, 66, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 at his home.
He was born June 14, 1957 in Richmond County, a son of the late Benjamin Walker and Patricia Campbell Fetner.
Jim graduated from Richmond Senior High School and worked for Owens-Illinois for many years. He enjoyed all kinds of music, cooking, fishing and hanging out with his friends.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Richmond Co. Hospice Chaplain Chris Thornton officiating. A celebration of his life will be held at the Hamlet American Legion following the memorial service.
Surviving, a niece, Alicia Ruger of Blackshear, Georgia; stepmom, Bonnie Fetner of Hamlet; stepsisters, Donna Mickey and husband Randy of Hamlet, and Sherry Wright of Laurel Hill; two great-nephews and one great-niece.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
