James Madison “Jimmy” Inman Jr., 76, of Rockingham passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
He was born Dec. 5, 1948 in Richmond County, a son of the late James Madison Inman Sr. and Janice Jordan Inman.
Mr. Inman retired from Cheerwine Bottling Company. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in his garden and yard. He was an avid football fan.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham with the Rev. Alex Perkais officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery.
Surviving, his wife of 21 years, Wanda Griffith Inman of the home; his children, Ray Inman (Nancy) of Statesville, Janet Deis (A.J.) of Camden, South Carolina, and Matthew Inman of Rock Hill, South Carolina; grandchildren, Justin Deis, Christopher Deis, Morgan Beaver, Taylor Deis, Jordyn Inman, Julianna Inman and Briggs Inman; four great-grandchildren and one more on the way February 2025.; siblings, Jancie Slaughter (T.J.), Joyce Wright, Jackie Wright (Wayne) and Johnnie Inman (Jennifer).
The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 from 2-3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
