Janice Edwards Webster, 67, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 at her home.
She was born Aug. 16, 1956, in Richmond County, daughter of the late Paul William Edwards and Billie Jean Strider.
Janice worked for many years with Burlington Industries. She attended JOY Freewill Baptist Church, Hamlet. She was a kind, loving, and giving lady. She was an avid collector of snowmen and loved cooking for her family. Janice was very active and “always on the go.”
Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her granddaughters, whom she loved dearly and enjoyed taking photos with them. She would do anything for her family. She will be missed greatly.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Edwards.
Janice is survived by her husband of 40 years, William Paul Webster of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Paul Webster and Jessica, of Charlotte, and Jason Lee Webster, and Lindsay, of St. Augustine, Florida; beloved granddaughters, Shelby Ellen Webster and Maggie Charlotte Webster; sister, Gail Edwards of Rockingham; and brother, Billy Edwards of Rockingham.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023 from noon-1 p.m. at JOY Freewill Baptist Church, Hamlet.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 1 p.m., with Pastor June Grant and Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
