Jeremy Wayne Sweeney, 27, passed away Sept. 16, 2025.
Jeremy is the son of Joni Chavis Parker and Jerry Neal Sweeney.
Jeremy is survived by his mother and stepfather; his father, two daughters, Harper and Freya Sweeney; and one sister, Jade Sweeney, all of Laurinburg.
Jeremy loved his daughters with his entire heart and soul. Jeremy loved playing basketball, he would play basketball for hours. Jeremy has always written and sang music. Jeremy was very smart, handsome and charismatic. He was a cook years back at Mac’s Breakfast Anytime and CCNC of Moore County.
Other family members include: grandmother Norma Chavis; grandfather, the late Wayne Chavis; grandmother, the late Donna Lammonds; brother, the late Kegan Baker; and aunts Angie Chavis and Lori Melton Brown, of Rockingham.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025 at Tally Watson Funeral Service in Rockingham with Richard Tyson officiating.
