Jimmy Cain Sr., 77, of Hamlet, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at his residence.
He was born April 12, 1946, in Bladen County, son of the late Walter Cain Jr. and Mary Hester Cain.
Jimmy was a passionate, devoted Christian and worked diligently with Emmanuel Ministries. He had a servant’s heart and was strong in his faith. He was a humble, God-giving man who was selfless and would go out of his way to help others. Jimmy loved everybody.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his bride, Pearl Paul Cain; brother, Robert Cain; and sister, Pat McDonald.
Jimmy is survived by his children, Joanna Ruiz (Anthony) of Naples, Florida, Jimmy Cain Jr. (Erica) of Hamlet and Travis Cain (Lisa) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Morgan Coerver (Austin), Ryan Ruiz (Hope), Matthew Haywood, Casee Cain and Deanna Dyson; great-grandson, Calvin Coerver; sister, Hilda Reynolds of Rockingham; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at Harrington Funeral Home.
The funeral will begin immediately following the visitation, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Diggs officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery.
