Larry Mitchel “Mitch” Batton Jr., 49, of Rockingham passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1976 to the late Larry Mitchell Batton Sr. and Jo Ann Dubisky Wilson.
Mitch is remembered for his love of guitars and motorcycles. Your family will miss you dearly and will always love you.
Along with his father, Mitch was preceded in death by his sister, Tonya Michell Batton.
He is survived by his son, Christian Batton (Darrian) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Oaklyn Batton and Macie Mumford; mother, Jo Ann Wilson (Billy) of Rockingham; nieces, Rita Batton, Courtney Gibson and Elvera Toledo; and nephews, John Davis, Travis Gibson and Alex Toledo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Maple Street Freewill Baptist Church in Rockingham. Pastor Darwin Cook will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N. U.S. Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
