Lincoln Grooms, 65, of Hamlet, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
He was born Dec. 28, 1960 in Richmond County, son of the late Archie Charles Grooms and Ethel Mae Thompson Grooms.
Lincoln was a simple man that enjoyed playing pool, his dog, and raking pine straw.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Grooms and Mike Grooms; and sister, Linda Mae Grooms.
Lincoln is survived by his brother, Daniel “Boone” Grooms of Hamlet; sisters, Ethel McPherson and Wanda Rankin (Richard), both of Hamlet; caretaker and friend, Cindy Sweet; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Grace Holiness Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Dixon officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
