Linda Covington Williams, 80, of Hamlet, went on to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.
She was born on June 1, 1945, the daughter of the late Boyd Everette Covington and Ina Lois Hale Covington.
Linda was a devoted member of Maple Street Freewill Baptist Church. She found great joy in her faith and cherished her church family. Her days were filled with service — always a dedicated caretaker, she looked after everyone around her, from her own family to the elderly in the community, offering comfort and a helping hand wherever it was needed.
Her family warmly recalls her funny personality and her feisty, sassy spirit. She loved her family dearly and lived her life embracing every blessing. Her legacy will continue to shine through all the lives she touched.
Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sons, Harry L Davis Jr. and Richard Davis; brothers, Everette Covington and Frank Brigman; and sisters, Mary Alice Powell, Ruth Jones and Louise McDonald.
Left to cherish her memories, are daughters Tammy Lampley (David) of Rockingham and Margaret Davis (Roger Leviner) of Rockingham; son, Mark Davis of Hamlet; sister, Myrtle Teal of Hamlet; along with 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 1-2 p.m., at Maple Street Freewill Baptist Church in Rockingham.
The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m., with Pastor Darwin Cook officiating.
Interment will be at Northam Cemetery in Rockingham.
At other times, the family will receive visitors and friends at her daughter Tammy’s home at 511 Osbourne Road, Rockingham.
