OBITUARY: Linda Faye Alexander Biggs

Mrs. Linda Faye Alexander Biggs, 78, of Laurel Hill, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

Born on April 13, 1948 in Anson County, Linda was the daughter of the late Henry Willard Alexander and Lula Mae Hudson Mangrum.

Linda will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, family member, and friend whose life centered around the people she loved most. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting in her spare time. Linda was also known as an excellent cook, and her family always looked forward to the meals she prepared.

She enjoyed watching football and was a devoted fan of the Washington Redskins. Linda also loved playing cards and spending time with family and friends. In earlier years, she especially cherished beach trips with her family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

More than anything throughout her life, Linda adored her grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride throughout her life.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Michael Biggs; grandson, Marvin Taylor IV; brother, Donald Alexander; and sister, Helen Fipps.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her daughters, Rhonda Player Williams and Windy Taylor (Marvin III), both of Hamlet, and Michelle Steen (Craig) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Matt Williams (Beth), Megan Williams, Jake Williams (Ashley), Hannah Ikner (Brannon), Macy Steen and Harper Taylor; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Emery, Trace and Scout; and special companion, John Fraser.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 4 p.m. at Outreach for Jesus, with Pastor Marvin Taylor Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Rhonda.
