Linda Jo Brigman Freeman, 76, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
She was born May 9, 1947, in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Sydney and Iona Brigman.
Linda worked in nursing for several years. She attended King’s Gate Church in Hamlet and loved going to church. She was an avid collector of elephants and had an extensive collection. She enjoyed people and going to auctions. She especially loved her dog, Molly, and her sugar glider, Daisy. Linda was always a loving, caring person.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Freeman Sr., being married for 53 years at his passing in 2021; daughters, Samantha Langley and Kimberly Freeman.
Linda is survived by her son, Richie Freeman (Susan) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Brandon Langley (Heather), Dylan Freeman (Laura), and Zach Freeman; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon and Anna Langley, River Freeman and Lilly Freeman; daughter-in-law, Brenda Leviner of Hamlet; and special extended family, Jeff and Judy Roscoe, Jonathan Glaze and Nicholas Glaze.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2023 at 2 p.m. at King's Gate Church with Pastor Eddie McLean officiating.
