Marilyn Byrne Seitz, 67, of Timmonsville, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024 at her residence.
She was born May 3, 1957, in Dade County, Florida, daughter of the late George Warren Byrne Sr. and Norma Ann Norris Byrne.
Marilyn worked as a district supervisor for some years with convenience stores. She was very outgoing and never met a stranger. Her personality was to always try to make people around her happy. She enjoyed playing games, shopping, and her dogs.
Marilyn loved her family more than anything else. She was caring and loving, and a second mother to her brothers. She dearly loved her children and especially her grandchildren. Her husband, Steve, was her world. Marilyn will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Alise Byrne.
Left to cherish Marilyn’s memories are her husband, Steve Seitz of the home; children, James William Jeter Jr. and Heidi Jeter (Ernie James), both of Rockingham, and Tatum Gallops (Ryan) of Gibson; grandchildren, Austin Gallops, Khaliq Anderson, Jaylen James, Cameron Heaton, Asia Wingate, Dallas Jeter, Trigger Jeter and Braxton Jenks; brothers, Buddy Byrne of Timmonsville, South Carolina, and Eddie Byrne (Michelle) of Rockingham; sister, Debi Sellers (Mike) of Salt Springs, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Sarah Shoun.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m.
