Nancy Bennett Kelly, 75, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, surrounded by family at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
Ms. Kelly was born Oct. 15, 1950 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Ether and Myrtle Ledbetter Bennett.
She was a lifelong member of Shining Light Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed her outings with the ladies auxiliary.
Along with her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Davis Kelly; and brother Charles Bennett.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, William “Billy” Kelly (Shannon) and Kenneth Carl Kelly (Susan); grandchildren, Kenneth “Bo” Kelly Jr. (Missy), Cameron Kelly and Blake Kelly (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Kylie Kelly and Caroline Kelly; brother Steve Bennett and sister Joan Bennett. She also leaves behind many extended family and church friends, who were always there to help.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday Jan. 22, 2026 at Shining Light FWB Church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tug Gainey officiating. Interment will follow at Marcus United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jackson Springs.
