Nancy Freeman Napier, 66, of Rockingham, North Carolina, went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born on Nov. 28, 1958 in Rockingham, North Carolina, to Sandy and Geneva Freeman.
Surviving are her children, Jami (Shawn) Harris, Gaylynn (Donnie) Soles, Marvin (Michelle) Napier and honorary daughter, Sarah Richardson; her grandchildren, Dylan Harris, Kandice Harris, Haylea Harris, Lil Shawn Harris, Dustin Abrams, Soloman Gordy, Kayla Bullard and Ashlee Hudson; her great-grandchildren, Cae’ Briella Williams, Avarie Locklear, Josie Turner and Legend Chance; and her sisters, Wanda (Philip) Bledsoe, Dianne (Oscar) Moore, Linda (Jason) Locklear, and Sandra (Rickey) Jones. Also, many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Napier; her parents, Sandy and Geneva Freeman; and granddaughter, Kameryn Harris.
Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was also a loyal friend to many.
Nancy was one of the kindest, loving, no-frills, tell-it-like-it-is person and loved everyone she knew. She was simple and was the happiest while spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy was a dedicated worker to all her employers throughout her years.
She loved spending time on the beach and loved having a fishing pole in her hand. She enjoyed spending time with friends and lending a helping hand. Her family was her everything and she loved them deeply. She was an angel collector on earth and now she is our angel in Heaven.
There will be a graveside service at Northam Cemetery, Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at noon. The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service at the gravesite.
