Nancy Louise Cowick, 92, of Cordova, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2026.
She was born Oct. 5, 1933 to the late Floyd Malcolm Currie and Sara Lena Thompson Currie.
She worked at Clarks until she retired. She loved chocolate candy, reading, and doing puzzles. She also loved spending time with her family camping at the river, which she instilled in her children and grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ernest Julian Cowick; brother, Doug Currie; daughter, Carol Jean Currie Butler; grandchildren, Shane W. Shepard, Billy Joe Butler, Daniel Wayne Butler, Carman Nicole Byrd and Taylor Danielle Shepard; great-granddaughter, Brittney Marie Collins; and great-great-grandchildren, Jordan Shepard, Brandon Shepard and Kason Hoffman.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Julia Honeycutt (Howard), Sara Cowick Benton (Juan) and Wilma Cowick Cox; 16 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 43 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 11 a.m.-noon at Cordova Baptist Church.
The memorial service will begin immediately following visitation, beginning at noon, with the Rev. Christopher Clark and the Rev. Doug Anderson officiating.
