Pamela Elaine Jackson Quick Raines, 70, of Hamlet passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024.
Pamela is a daughter of the late William and Bernice Jackson. She was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, and was born Aug. 8, 1953.
Pamela was raised in Cheraw where she attended high school and completed some college.
Pamela was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She was a hard worker and did everything in her power to provide for her family. She worked at various places such as local doctor’s offices, the health department and for many years at Walmart. She would eventually retire and spend her days with her family and friends. Pamela was the kind of woman that could make friends with just about anyone and she would do anything for the people she loved.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband, James of the home, to whom she shared a blissful 38 years of marriage. Pamela leaves behind her children, Jessica and Terry Quick (Tammy); grandchildren, Tray, Dawson, Shania, Danica and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Wilder, Octavia, Shane, Tyson and Bryce; sister, Judith Ward and her husband Donnie. Pamela leaves behind many friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet. Funeral services will immediately follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw, South Carolina.
