Pamela Gentry Hensley, 67, of Hamlet, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 11, 1959, in Rocky Mount, daughter of the late Clinton Gentry and Christine Williams.
Pamela was a loving and caring person who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In previous years, she worked with Walmart and took pride in her work.
Pamela had a special love for all animals and found great joy in caring for them. She loved fishing and the beach, and enjoyed all types of music, especially singing hymns. She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, especially her significant other, William, along with her children and grandchildren, as well as for the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.
She leaves behind cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Pamela will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, John David Boyd Jr. and Reann Nikole Taylor; and her brother, Roy Gentry.
Left to cherish Pamela’s memories is her significant other, William Arnette of the home; children, Brittany Martin of Plymouth, Michael Martin of Rockingham, Travis Martin of Salt Lake City, Utah, Elizabeth Hensley and Daniel Hensley, both of Alamance County, and Michelle Arnette of Hamlet; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and brother, Ronald Gentry of Statesville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026 from noon-1 p.m. in the fellowship hall of King’s Gate Church, Hamlet.
The Celebration of Life service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 1 p.m., with Pastor Eddie McLean and Minister Keith Miller officiating.
